Contacts Cleaner ("the app") is built to help you find, merge, and clean up duplicate or incomplete contacts on your iPhone. This policy explains exactly what the app does — and does not do — with your data.

What we access

With your permission, the app reads your device's Contacts (via Apple's Contacts framework) to:

• Detect duplicate names and phone numbers
• Identify contacts missing a name or phone number
• Display contact details, photos, and (if you've granted the additional Notes permission) the Notes field, so you can review and manage them

What we do with it

Everything happens locally on your device. Contacts Cleaner has no backend server, does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not transmit, sell, or share your contacts — or any data derived from them — with us or with any third party, under any circumstances.

When you choose to merge duplicate contacts, the app combines the information (including Notes, if present) directly within Apple's Contacts database on your device, using Apple's standard Contacts APIs. No copy of this data ever leaves your device.

Notes field

If you grant the optional Contact Notes permission, the app can read and merge the Notes field when combining duplicate contacts, so no information is lost during a merge. Notes are handled with the same on-device-only, no-transmission policy described above.

Data storage

The app does not maintain its own database or copy of your contacts. It reads directly from and writes directly to the system Contacts store each time you use a feature. Nothing is cached, logged, or stored by us outside of your device.

Third parties

Contacts Cleaner does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services.

Your control

You can revoke the app's access to your Contacts at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts on your device. Revoking access simply prevents the app from reading or modifying your contacts going forward — it does not delete any contacts or notes already saved on your device.

Children's privacy

Contacts Cleaner is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children, as it does not collect data from anyone — it operates entirely on-device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
